Are you curious about Arduinos? Do you wonder what applications microcontrollers might have in your projects? Would you like to know something about programming and how it works? If so, this course is for you!
Through this half day course with Braeden Young, not only will you come away with an understanding of the roll that microcontrollers play in your life and their applications for common maker projects, you will also learn to work with Arduinos, gain an introductory understanding of embedded programming and how it can manipulate real world objects and gain exposure to various external components that extend the functionality of the platform.
This course is suitable for makers ages 13 years and older. No previous knowledge is required. (Those under 13 years of age are welcome with an adult who will take responsibility for their supervision as we will be using electricity.)
Participants are encouraged to bring their own Windows laptop, if you have one, and to contact us to ensure you have the necessary software installed prior to the workshop starting. If you do not have a laptop, one will be provided.
