Through this half day course with Braeden Young, not only will you come away with an understanding of the roll that microcontrollers play in your life and their applications for common maker projects, you will also learn to work with Arduinos, gain an introductory understanding of embedded programming and how it can manipulate real world objects and gain exposure to various external components that extend the functionality of the platform.

We'd love you to join us in our intro to Cosplay! We will be covering the below discussion points in a 2 and a half hour intro session:

- History of Cosplay
- Cosplay vs "Dressing Up"
- Rules (including emphasis on consent and weapons)
- Inclusiveness and manners
- Groups that encourage responsible cosplay
- Types of costume materials
- Required tools
- Examples of costumes (photos, and possibly other cosplay members)
- Interactive section/ideas
- Questions

We plan to have various interested people show up with pictures, drawings, or ideas about the files they'd like to turn into costumes, Portion of the proceeds with go to be going charity.

Brian Tremblay from Royal Newfoundland Regiment Armstrong will also be in with his historical reanactment kit and display it and answer any questions the folks might have about topic.

We'd love to have anyone who is interested!

Join us on Friday, October 26th, 2018 to celebrate the official GRAND OPENING of Maker North! Whether you have been making with us since the beginning or you have been meaning to check us out but haven't quite made it in yet, we welcome you to come on down and celebrate our Grand Opening with us.

Come wearing your own homemade costume and enter to win our Costume Contest. Photos will be taken of each entrant and judging will be done by the Maker North team. The winner will receive a 3D printer!
